CARE - Certified Auto Ride in an Emergency

The Certified Auto Ride in an Emergency (CARE) program is a guaranteed ride for carpoolers and bus riders who miss their ride due to a mid-day emergency.

Riding the bus or carpooling is environmentally responsible, as well as convenient and affordable. However, you also need a reliable way to leave work if you can't wait for the bus or your carpool.

For just $15 per year, you can receive FOUR cab rides annually (within Bexar County) whenever an emergency arises that causes you to miss your carpool or bus.

The CARE Program is a benefit offered by VIA and AACOG. In order to qualify, you must commute to work at least three times per week by carpool or on the VIA bus. Then, all you have to do is complete the registration form (contact Heather Willden at (210) 362-5303 for form), then mail it in with your $15 check made payable to AACOG.

HOW IT WORKS AACOG and VIA reserve the right to have final approval of all requests for reimbursement.
