Walking in the Alamo Region

Walking Challenge includes individuals who walk, run, or use a wheelchair to commute to-and-from work. Don’t forget you can combine Walking with the other Challenge categories, such as Busing or Biking.

A person in a wheelchair is considered a pedestrian. So grab your work buddy and consider rolling and walking to lunch or work.

Consider being a pedestrian instead of driving. If you do, you’ll be doing your part to help keep the Alamo area’s air clean! At the same time, you are living a healthier lifestyle. Activities such as walking and running help lessen the incidents of obesity, asthma and diabetes.
